Working on Sat equates to wasting company resources.. Here I am at the office typing away on my blog while the boss is chatting away with the secretary.. :p I have nothing else to do except to wait for the office boy to come in with the $$ for me to distribute to the rest as meal allowance for the mth.. - Everyone gets $5 a day as meal allowance.. Though I'm not on the list, but I jus love the way this company operates!!

This morning was more busy as my accountant colleague is going on a half day leave.. She spent the whole morning explaining some work stuff to me.. But I wonder how much I have absorbed.. The boss, though he is not bad looking for his age.. ^^ *winks* He is abit stern looking and I dun look forward to talking to him later if required..:( My boss... A filthy rich man who owns business and property in Australia and Singapore.. His family is staying in Aussie cos his son doesn't like Chinese language.. Yes!! Just because his son doesn't like to study chinese the whole family migrates to Aussie.. Hmmm... He owns horses there too... And he jus signed up for a credit card for his daughter with a limit of 23K!!! Everyday I see a list of expenses from Citibank in the mail.. *Jealous* But most of the expenses are borne by the boss himself and we have to do his personal accounts for him as well..

This boss not bad... He lets us buy groceries for the office and yesterday we bought over $70 worth of food stuff ( which includes wat?... MERCI chocS!!!!!) Haha.. I love working here liao.. Piangz..

Yikez.. My colleague left.. I'll be all alone after lunch.. I really hope I can handle things alone..

Yeps 3 hrs since I'm on my own as an accountant.. Not too bad la.. I handle some petty cash with the office boy and the secretary.. Feels funny.. I'm like a temp staff but I have more authority than them - with cash only.. There are alot of doubts which I have not cleared.

Just called UOB to enquire about the remittance of funds. The gal on the other side of the line must think that I'm an IDIOT or wat.. Haiz.. when I asked her about the bank charges, she jus simply replied me, "6.09" I was thinking, "In dollars or %" Guess I was confused with bank interest.. I asked her and she replied, "Bank charges 6.09 in US ah." Hmmm.. not a very friendly staff..

Pls do not be mistaken.. This is definitely not a slackers job.. I'm learning how to do full set of accounts wholly on excel.. And it's not an easy task cos I have to be extremely careful when I record the transactions.. Wln't want to make any mistakes here cos a mistake cld easily cos like USD 100K.. I'm not joking lor.. Later I'm going to make a call to the bank to settle a Trust Receipt financing worth USD 180K .. *shivers*

Hmmm.. Let me start frm the beginning :p I'm working at Sineurope Pte Ltd as an accounts assistant. This company deals with dried seafood products - e 1st, 3rd and 4th storey serves as a warehouse for the goods. *cough*.. n tat explains the whiff fishy smell that attacks me when I enter the office.. Lucky the air in the office is fresh. In such a small scale of a company, the accounts is no joke.. We have to handle amounts up to USD 200K for the import and export of seafood product.. Not the usual dried fish and prawns k.. It's shark fin, abalone, cod fish, sae cucumber.. ohh... and birdnest... Hmmm... such expensive delicacy that cost a bomb at restaurants.. They are not NICE smelling when being put together in the same warehse ok.. In fact they are pungent!! But it gives the company loads of money.. It's such an excitement to handle so much $$..

I jus called UOB Bank to settle the Trust Receipt payment of USD 139K... I was having cold sweat lor.. But my dearest colleague was very encouraging cos she was standing beside me in case I need SOS..

I kinda like this job ^^ Cos it's a small and cosy co. they even have a mini kitchen to cook for lunch.. cos they dun really have much choices of food ard here.. Ohh... they even have a treadmill and rowing machine IN THE KTV ROOM!! Can u believe this?? But according to them, they dun really use the "Facilities".. hAHA... I'm aiming to use the treadmill.. hehehe...

Besides, I have my flexibility to do my work.. Like now.. I have more or less done my work and I can go on the internet to pass my time... But I still need to make some calls to the bank later to check remittance of funds.. After lunch...

I love typing on the key board of my old lappy.. It has bigger keypads for my 4eva clumsy fingers and it's softer ^^

Meiwen was joking w me the other nite she slp over @ my hse that I'll definitely start my much overdued blog with " The hols are finally here!!!" or "Exams are finally over & I'm enjoying myself too much to blog!!!" Haha.. No ok.. I shan't be so predictable... *Winkz*

Went ktv'ing last nite with my sec sch pals a.k.a "The Pig Family" Only Yin, KY, Boon & Dex turned up... It has been a really long time since I met them and it feels really great to hang out with these oldest pals... Though I forgot how to sing some of the songs.. Took me awhile to warm up my *diaphram* (spell check?) Haha!! Reached home ard 2 am feeling rejuvenated... Can't wait for some of them to finish exams and we can hang out together in full force again^^

It's a lazy Sunday today but I'll be going for my class BBQ later... Must have some fun before I start work tmr... A little nervous as this is the 1st real accounting job I'm doing... Hope I'll be able to cope with the work load.
