Angsty angsty angsty.. Someone sat on my notebook and notes today.. -_- So dumb lor.. Dun know how to shift my stuff away before she sat at my table.. (we were having some class activity and the whiteboard was right behind my table in class) I tapped her on the shoulder and gave her the "HEY you fat ass! How dare you sit on my books" look.. But I just said nicely (really!), "excuse me, you are sitting on my books." Dumb ass.. tsk.. Din even apologise though she looked paiseh..
Cupcake says I'm getting more forgetful these days. Can't even rmbr the conversation details that occurred an hour ago.. He's quite irritated with me keep asking him questions repetitively.. Then I forgot that there is convo thank you dinner today and I din wear my convo t-shirt (A requirement to wear the t shirt for the buffet dinner). Felt that it's too odd to sneak in and eat the food. Anyway I would be too conspicuous since I was wearing yellow tank and everybody else will be in black. Damn.. And the ironic thing is that I FORGOT that mom isn't home to cook dinner. So luckily dad was on his way back from shopping and he bought dinner for me. Yes I know.. I need to change/improve.. Told him I needed more brain food but in actual fact I need to pay more attention la.. Maybe I'm suffering from attention deficiency disorder or something.. Hee
Talking about dad shopping. He is on a 2 weeks leave and has been having the time of his life shopping everyday. I had been hearing him brag about eating "expensive" sushi (it's actually the usual ones I buy from bugis cold storage and brag to him on normal days) for the past few days and every time, I will chide him for not getting some for us. Haha! Today.. he showed off his $120 Scholl shoes and walked around the house in them commenting on how comfy they are.. He even signed up for OG card.. OMG.. Can't believe my dad did that.. Anyway, I'm glad he's enjoying and pampering himself after so many years of hardwork. This is the first time I see him so willing to spend on his hard earn money on himself..

It's week 2 of school and after going through half of my performance management case studies due this fri and corp reporting homework, I felt like life has been sucked out from me. Problem is.. I can't stop watching TV.. Grrr! I'm not sure what draws me to the tele but I just have the urge to watch TV programs even I have work pending. I have a serious addiction to TV or rather the dramas showing on TV. Kinda feel like it's affecting my sch work and social lifestyle. I wanna stop this bad habit but it's been very hard to kick. I know I can stay in sch to do my work, to be far away from the black box. But somehow, the idea of hiding in the freezing library is not appealing at all. And I dun like the idea of hanging out at the lib alone. Boo! Feel so irritated with myself and useless TV addiction.

My gosh! So many temptations going on when I have so much to do! Off to go play with dogs with my ex colleagues in half an hour. At least I did up the PPT for the discussion for tues class. =) I still have my PMC case studies and presentation to do! Argh....

Went to the Asian Civilisation Museum today as part of my Special Topics in Management class. It's actually catered more for the students from University of St Gallen for their Asia Term. Took this class as I need to clear a credit under Global and Regional Studies (GRS). My region is still.. well.. very much still stuck in Asia cos
Lao Niang (as Von would have put it) has no money to venture further.
Learnt quite a bit at the meseum and enjoyed myself thoroughly today with the foreign exchange students whom I'm doing project with. It's a good change working with more than half of the group members of another culture and it's probably going to be fun once we get more familiar with each other. I can see abit of difference in working styles currently.. Hopefully it's not too difficult to get adapted to each other quickly enough to make and effective team. A bunch of us had lunch together at the Raffles City Food Junction and I am still appalled to hear that there isn't such a thing as food court in Swiss. NO FOOD COURTS!!! They either eat at home or go to extremely overpriced restaurants once a while.
Gosh! I really can't imagine my life without food courts. Heard from Charlene that our dear MM once said that the best invention to SG is the air conditioning.. To me, the greatest creation in SG is the food court. Perfect for people like me who has zilch culinery skills and likes a good variety of food at affordable prices.

This is my grp for the Special Topics in Management. Very friendly foreign exchange students. See the guy in black shirt? He has
piercing blue blue eyes. Jo and I can't help but stare into his eyes while talking to him. You will knw what I mean when you enlarge the picture. \
We are supposed to have a discussion about our experience at the meseum and we picked the topic about Beauty with a specific focus on the "Golden Lotus Feet"
a.k.a bounded feet of women in ancient China. Very disturbed after reading into the history of it. The women of those times went through a whole damn lot of pain in the name of beauty and status.
Let me end this off by showing you a picture I took of the river before I went into the meseum. Don't I just love my cammy =)

The weather is perfect today. Can you feel it from the picture?

School has started. Quite heart-warming to hear the familiar chatter all around the campus though I kinda lost my bearings abit yesterday (Haven't been to my 2nd home for almost 3 mths). But it's absolutely wonderful to be back at the campus. Expect myself to be extremely busy with sch stuff when I tot I could slack off for the last sem.. No such luck for me!
Check out the foto below.. My dear dear frens being coerced by me to do the signature SMU jump. So endearing! I hope they dun kill me for putting this up. Wahahaha!.jpg)
That's right.. I can be aggressive at times.

I passed my Basic Theory Test!! Woot! Went to BBDC this morning in the midst of heavy rain and cold cold weather to take this test. Still, this is not as bad as those poor souls who were having their motorcycle test. They're soaked to the skin.. Not cool at all.
Anyway, school is supposed to start today but I have no classes every mon so it seems like I'm getting an extra day of hol =) Have half the mind to go sun tanning but the weather is not cooperating. I'm left with a) stay home and read my book, b) go gyming at school or c) go shopping alone.

My latest haircut. Contemplating whether to color my hair since ppl keep commenting on the unfinished look cos one side is slanted.

As some of you might have noticed, I've changed my blog skin and the background music. Do you think it's nicer and more soothing now?
Have more time on my hands after ending my internship last wed. Supposed to end on Fri but it was brought forward by the National Day PH and the company's plant shut down on Fri.
Did quite a few things with my free time: Cleaned out my room, had a nice hair cut, met up with few buddies, had lunch with the cake cake, clear out and rearrange stuff on my Samsung lappy, watch lots of TV, take loads of pictures with my new cammy (co-owned with cupcake) and not forgeting the usual eat, sleep and rot.
Since my blog has been lacking of pictorial updates for the longest time, I shall let the fotos do the talking.. 5 more days to sch! Wahahaha...

I got this from my sweetest cupcake. This was his prize for being the SMU Champion for the WCD 2007. There were 4 other guys on his team and all of them got this Samsung U3 IN PINK! Wahaha!

Bought a Canon A570. My cupcake's and I first ever (in his words) "non-edible co-owned item". Have been fotowhoring away with this new gadget. Yup.. I'm shamelessly hogging it and putting it in the best of use. It's a nickname as well =) Say hello to Cammy!

This was my desk at the company where I was interning. If you look closely enough, you will notice that the visitor's chair is more comfy than the one I'm sitting on. But I do prefer armchairs without the armrest. Hint!
.jpg)
That's Weiting, Kym and me. Weiting is like my sup. Only that she is younger than me and she drives! Amazing huh? Always get a lift from her to the station after work every day. Thank goodness. Without her, the internship experience would be worse. She kept me going. Kym is the HR manager, a little like the mother hen of the dept looking after 2 chicks.. Hee!

This are the extremely nice people from the R&D dept from my company. Got to know them better through lunch gatherings at the factory's nearby canteen. Candid and friendly peeps!

I sat in this beautiful car on my last day at work. Belongs to this good looking dude from the R&D dept. Dun get the wrong idea. I just like his car. =) Babe magnet. Woot! Erm.. ya.. the guard very extra..

Very beautiful rainbow I saw one day after work. It's in the Eunos industrial area.

This is the view I get every morning during my 30mins walk to the factory building I worked in. Very terapeutic

There were 2 routes to the factory. This is the other way.. Wasn't too bad after they replanted back some nice green grass. Crickets' heaven I tell you.. I could almost hear them singing with joy every morning.

At the very dangerous crossroad I have to overcome every day. Huge tankers and lorries speed by all the time. Traffic police please take note.

The small and tight one way road leading to the factory. Look at all the vehicles illegally parked on the double yellow line? Road hazard lor.. They block the on coming traffic.. I fear for my life..

The big blue sky that I will miss.. Always feel at peace with myself whenever I stare up into the sky on the way to work. I love seeing those cloud formations..

See! This was the mess I had to clean up

The fruits of my labour. Actually.. the labels wasn't done when this was taken. Wasn't as simple as just changing files.. I had to ensure that everything piece of document within are in correct order and there were 7 cabinets of these!!!
This are all only about work. Gosh! I have so many more fotos to be put up.. Stay tuned!

When you start hearing about people around you from the same college being offered highly coveted positions with top names like Morgan Stanley, Deutsche, Merill Lynch etc.. and will very likely draw an attractive salary while you are sitting here still confused about which career path to take and struggling to keep your grades from falling below merit level.. It makes you wonder what would it be like to be in their shoes - a potential high flyer in their careers. But then again, I would choose a peaceful and happy life, working in a so-so job and be able to enjoy life with people who love me over that of a hectic life where the job will suck the life out of me.
These are 2 extremes sides and I don't think it's possible to be a career woman and enjoy a domesticated life. There are so many real life examples where women live the life of a power-woman but they are either unhappy in their marriage or are cold, lonely and single. For me, the choice is obvious. I choose life over career. Which means I will have to give up the ability to earn tons of money, jet around the world, shake hands with big shots, work on highly fulfilling projects at the top managerial level etc. But I will still be satisfied cos I am in a loving relationship and I am going to focus my energy on building a loving family - my own family. By saying this, it does not mean I'll slack off in my job. I'll still be hardworking as I have always been =) I probably will have to be more thrifty but I will be happy at the end of a long day at work of my so-so job cos I have a small but warm and cosy home to go to and not back to a big house filled with emptiness.
Not sure I digressed into this topic.. Prolly cos in the next half a year I'll have to decide on my career path.. It's gonna be a tough decision..
