And it's not an easy task cos I have to be extremely careful when I record the transactions.. Wln't want to make any mistakes here cos a mistake cld easily cos like USD 100K.. I'm not joking lor.. Later I'm going to make a call to the bank to settle a Trust Receipt financing worth USD 180K .. *shivers*
Hmmm.. Let me start frm the beginning :p I'm working at Sineurope Pte Ltd as an accounts assistant. This company deals with dried seafood products - e 1st, 3rd and 4th storey serves as a warehouse for the goods. *cough*.. n tat explains the whiff fishy smell that attacks me when I enter the office.. Lucky the air in the office is fresh. In such a small scale of a company, the accounts is no joke.. We have to handle amounts up to USD 200K for the import and export of seafood product.. Not the usual dried fish and prawns k.. It's shark fin, abalone, cod fish, sae cucumber.. ohh... and birdnest... Hmmm... such expensive delicacy that cost a bomb at restaurants.. They are not NICE smelling when being put together in the same warehse ok.. In fact they are pungent!! But it gives the company loads of money.. It's such an excitement to handle so much $$..
I jus called UOB Bank to settle the Trust Receipt payment of USD 139K... I was having cold sweat lor.. But my dearest colleague was very encouraging cos she was standing beside me in case I need SOS..
I kinda like this job ^^ Cos it's a small and cosy co. they even have a mini kitchen to cook for lunch.. cos they dun really have much choices of food ard here.. Ohh... they even have a treadmill and rowing machine IN THE KTV ROOM!! Can u believe this?? But according to them, they dun really use the "Facilities".. hAHA... I'm aiming to use the treadmill.. hehehe...
Besides, I have my flexibility to do my work.. Like now.. I have more or less done my work and I can go on the internet to pass my time... But I still need to make some calls to the bank later to check remittance of funds.. After lunch...
