I had a mini adventure to Raffles Place during lunch time. As the dispatch guy is on MC (for 2 days), my accountant colleague and I became the temp dispatch. Since today is the mth end, we have to transfer money frm one bank to the other to pay up the co's term loan. Usually we will prepare the necessary documents and the dispatch will help us settle the rest. For this 2 days, we have to "Qin Zhi Chu Ma".

This led to a series of events....

Soon after we step out of the office, my collegue's slippers broke and we had to hobble to a YELLOW TOP taxi A.K.A CRAZY TAXI.. I tell u, this is the most atrocious taxi ride that I ever had. This taxi driver is driving so recklessly that we almost had an accident on the highway - he almost banged into another taxi. And he still have the cheek to put the other taxi driver at fault while my collegue and I agreed that he was the one who tried to cut into the other taxi's lane. Then shortly after, his HP ranged. Guess what.. HE BLODDY PICKED UP THE HP WITH ONE HAND! I knw this is illegal under S'pore law even though I dun own a freaking driving license. If that is not bad enough, there was a moment where both his hands were not on the steering wheel. HE WAS DRIVING AS IF HE OWN THE ROAD.. Damn him

*scowling*

Both of us were so frightened for our lives, I quickly put on my safety belt - sth which i seldom bother to do. I dun wanna get killed in a freaking road accident ok. CHOY!! "Dai Ga Lai Si" But there we were pastiing a fake smile on our face while he rattled on abt how it's so tough to make a living in S'pore and Taxi drivers earn like peanuts *YaDa YaDa YaDa* Shut up already lor...

And so we finally reached our destination and we hobbled ard Raffles finding our way to Bank of East Asia and Maybank to settle our banking stuff. We then hobbled to Raffles Exchange (the newly refurbished shoping arcade at the MRT sation) and my collegue took her time to choose a new pair of shoes at Noda.

At the mean time, I pop over the DMK, which was just next to Noda. Lo and Behold... this pair of black slip ons caught my eye and I just had to buy it, bringing my total pairs of new shoes bought in the mth of May to a grand total of 5 pairs!!

I haven't received my pay yet.. HumPH.

Okiez.. So I am guilty of not blogging enuf.. The punishment? A freaking long entry was deleted by myself accidentally.. That happened like the day before and it was such a truama, I lost the mood to reblog that entry. Now I OFFICIALLY HATE the touch pad on my SONY lappy. Gimme the NIPPLE on my Toshiba or my FAV IBM mouse anytime. (I jus accidentally brushed acrossed the touch pad AGAIN) Sometimes I dun knw wat I press on this lousy keyboard and a chunk of words will get highlighted and deleted before I can react.. Damn!!

Officially 16 days left to working @ Sineurope... Really enjoyed working in this co. though I may complain that SOMETIMES I do not have enuf to do but I really did learnt alot here. Okie.. the usual boring accounting stuff.. BUT hey.. it is still a career ok.. I learnt how to cook and stuff abt married life.. Haha Juz as impt in the future rite. All my colleagues are working mothers so naturally most of the conversations goes to domestic affairs.

I can't cont even if they like my performance cos the accountant has only a freaking 2 mths maternity leave instead of 3 as she's a PR. I need a job but I think I deserve to take a break and get rejuvenated by Mother Nature.

No more being "Packed like sardine" on the train every morning. Sometimes it just gets worse than be packed like sardines.. Ppl jus throw themselves on u, they squeeze and push and squish jus before the door closes and eveybody else behind falls like domino to the other door. Only things is that there isn't enuf space to fall flat on ur face - a good thing i guess.

YEAH!!!! My Tioman trip is nearing....

Okiez.. My HP is working fine now after I left it to dry under the aircon.. Gave me such a huge scare in the morning.. I was jus holding tears back... Actually teach me a lesson to take care of my belongings.. esp my HP. Since manhandle it quite frequently.. heh... sorry...

My weekend was quite fruitful as Von put it. Fri wen to collect my new spects in the evening. It's purple frame this time.. Guess not many ppl noticed but its ok.. Been wearing glases for all my life :p

Then Sat was one nostalgic nite spent celebrating my bestest fren's 21st birthday at Sakae Sushi and Marina Manderin Hotel.. There were lots of catching up and laughter esp with my Azuko!! I knw u hate me calling u this but hey u were the one who brought up this teen fetish of mine k :p So many yrs have passed but we still share this special bond which I'm so blessed to have. It's great to knw that such bonds will never change. Brought my dear along and I guess he did learn alot abt me and my past.. Heh.. More than I ever told him.. I think..

After dinner, loaded with calories and good spirits, we headed to Marina Manderin for drinks and cake... The ambience was superb! We were led to the VIP area where a quintet was playing soft classical music. The atmosphere was romantic and the seats were comfy.. Many thanks to JX, Mr Prim and Proper, who did a wonderful job as the organiser. (Sld rope him in to study in SMU and join me in the Events Dept of BE. He rocks! He's going to Aussie end of this yr.. Going to miss having him ard.) There was excellent service - the sexy waitress, wearing red cheogsam sith slits riding to their hips took our orders without writing anything down. She din get any of our orders wrong! and we could dedicate any songs tat could be played comfortably by the flutist, celloist, violinist and the pianist. Dear Azuko dedicated this Kevin Kern song that I love and my heart jus melted... I din knw u knw I love this song~~ Thanks a million!! All along we were sitting next to the hotel's director's who were drinking the nite away in celebration for the hotels 3 mths renovation. It was the last nite of the hotel's operation. Our lucky b'day gal had a birthday song sung by them and in turn we sang If We Hold On Together for them.. I jus wish the nite din't end with heavy rain pouring.. Well prob that'z heaven's way of telling me.. "Get Back to Earth little gal." But definitely it's nite to remember.. and Azuko.. We sld meet up more often ok? Plz dun get irritated.. Azuko is a nice name!!

I have never hated rain like today. 1st, it rained heavily on a monday morning, the morning I hate to go to work most. PLUS it create such a nice weather to slp in, I jus want to cont snuggling in my pillows. But no!! I had to trudge through the rain to get to work.. THEN.. when i finally made myself comfortable at my desk, HORRORS OF HORRORS.. I realised that water had seeped into my HP!! The insides are soaked to the core. It must have been my umbrella leaking the rainwater inside my bag. I have placed my HP tog with a wet umbrella but nothing drastic like tat has happened before... NEVER.. Sobz.. Now my HP can be switched on and off after some drying but the keys are still jammed!! Before that the screen was completely blank and I was completely devastated :( sianz.. now I have totally no mood to work but it doesn't bother me since i have nothing to do today yet. My poor samsung! I'm definitely going down to the service centre and hopefully I can have it repaired.
