I heave a sigh of relief as I submit my individual report this afternoon. This marks the end of my one and only summer term in my University life. It's definitely an experience but not to the extent that I want to ever do it again. Left with 4 more modules to complete next semester before I say GOODBYE to student life. I'm not sure if I can adapt well to the transition to the next phase of my life. Anyway, I will worry about it when the time comes.. But now it's time to enjoy the little personal time I have to myself. Had actually planned for a local weekend getaway by booking a hotel for one night over the weekend but all the hotels between the $200 rate has been taken up. At least for those I'm interested to try out.. Hadn't expect hotel rooms in Singapore to be so hot in demand. But then Jo did remind me that sch hols are just starting. And moreover, it was quite a last minute thing. Well my weekend is not ruined cos it's been postphone to 2 weeks later!! =) Cos it's the nearest weekend that showed available rooms when we checked. Probably going to book the Robertson Quay Hotel or Hangout @ Mount Emily.. Both are affordable (mind you.. we are poor students. Can't exactly afford Ritz Carlton yet), chic but each has its pros and cons. Reviews on Robertson implies the service is so-so and the rooms are small.. But it does have a reasonably sized pool (impt!) and it's near the Singapore River.. so we will not end up feeling bored cos we are right smack in the entertainment hub! =)Hangout @ Mount Emily is abit far and out of the way but the rooms are much much cheaper, and according to Jo, the rooms are nicely furnished (plus pt!) I can always use the money saved and go for a good buffet with my cupcake! Hee! still have some time before I make a decision. If you guys have any good hotel lobang.. Let me knw ok?!Today I went shopping and it was a blast! There are sales going on everywhere and it's so tempting to just keep buying stuff. Haha! Got 2 Sloggi (s) from BHG (ex-Seiyu) and a Aikira ear-clip headphone. I'm listening to songs with the new earphone now and the sound quality is equivalent to the Sennheiser one that cupcake bought for me. AND IT HAS A MICROPHONE!! omg... and how much is it?! A mere $6.90!!! You all say I got a good deal or not??? Haha.. So happy that my "harvest" today is good.. Have't felt such satisfaction from shopping for a long time le. I have one more day before internship starts. Shall stay home and treat myself to D.I.Y spa. Chill, relax and enjoy before surrendering to slavery again.
