Corp reporting test tmr. !@#$% As usual, it's all last minute work again. Luckily I kept my advanced financial accounting notes from poly. Help quite abit in simplifying explanations the prof gave which sorta "beat around the bush". Still prefer the style of my poly notes!

Received an email to file for graduation. Von! Read this: GRADUATION!!!! Yeah baby.. Finally graduating la.. Dun tease me for being a student k.. I know I'm old, must start choosing where I sell my soul to and most imptly earn $$$.. Wahaha... Dun feel the sense of elation that I thought I'll feel though.. Hmmm.. Jaded.. Definitely jaded...

Paris and Rome! Here I come!!!!

I'm so excited.. In the midst of research, planning and booking for our visit to these 2 cities in Europe. The reservation for the air ticket is done today so hopefully the rest of the procedures will fall nicely in place. I really could hardly contain my excitement about this adventure. It's going to be Winter when we are there, it'll be the first time for me being in a cold cold place. Yeah.. Dec is not a good time for travelling but what the heck?!! It's going to be a once in my lifetime thing.. The intended budget is $3000 for 10 days.. with the bulk of it spend on airfair. No economies of scale but this is the best we could do with out puny budget.

OMG... Can't believe this is finally happening.. Woot!

Haven't been blogging the past few days as there isn't much interesting things to update about.. Just me and my avalanche of work. Wohoho.. Going crazy trying to catch up with my readings. I just feel that time passes super duper fast - the fastest as compared to all the rest of my semesters I've been through in SMU. The worse thing is that 2 out of 4 modules really CMI (Cannot Make It). Those who are in these classes with me know how I'm feeling.. -_-

I think the most havoc thing that happen this week was chilling out with the girls at Ice Cold Beer (ICB). Was tipsy after downing a Long Island Tea at 4.30pm.. Yes. Drunk before the sun sets.. Our 2nd option was like to hang out at the library (LIB) to do work for the rest of the afternoon which we thought was quite pathetic. So there we were at ICB on a late friday afternoon. Syl can't drink so she was the sober one entertaining herself by watching us get drunk, giggly and silly. Haha.. I hope I din say anything wrong or do embarassing stuff cos I felt a little out of control.

As for today, I had a very good time with my cupcake who brought me to dinner at Ichiban Boshi. He can read my mind lor.. He knows I have craving for sushi though I din mention it. Absolutely adore him =)
This is us while waiting for food!
Mouth watering pieces of sushi to tempt you. Each piece is perfect. Slurps! And of course the usual teriyaki chicken don for Cupcake.

Can't resist taking a picture with the lanterns. I have this thing for round backgrounds.

Debate starts isn 1 hour and I'm nervous and I'm feeling like a jelly fish. I still can't fit my speech into the 2 mins time limit. !@#$ Can't wait for this to be over.

Anyway, I really should stop ill treating my lappy and treat it with mroe TLC. Seems like it's nosier than usual and I'm very sensitive to laptop noise.

I feel like I haven't been able to leave the school while the sun is still up for the past few days and I'm so glad to be home on an afternoon. Went for a talk on how to prevent cervical cancer and it was quite informative plus lots of gory pictures.. which drive in the importance of going for pap smear tests as a form of detection of the virus and prevention of cancer.

click on the picture for more info =)

There is a debate for Performance Management and Compensation class this fri.. Wish me luck.

I spent a large part of today exploring Little India as part of my course requirement for my Special Topics in Management class (STM). Sounds interesting? Quite la.. Listened to a talk at the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple about Hinduism from 9.15 to 9.45am before the prof broke us up into our teams for our "own time own target" exploration. After that, my group took the NEL to Little India where we begin our "exploration. We were walking around quite aimlessly in the sweltering hot sun for about 10 mins before we decided the best was just to hide at an Indian restaurant just to chill out and find some direction for our project given to us.

After our short meeting, Jo, Chalene, Karin and I hanged around some more to look for beauty parlours that do facial threading. It was more like my idea but managed to tempt Jo and Chalene to do it together as well. We found this place at the 2nd level of a shophouse: SOUNIQUE. And the threading service is so cheap! Like $4 for upper lip and $6 for eyebrow threading. I did both eyebrow and upperlip and got a small discount of $1 off the usual price. The Indian lady was very skillful and she managed to make my eyebrow look more balanced - one of my brows is higher than the other naturally. But since I had too much upper lip hair, I was in spasms of pain when she did the upper lip threading for me! -_- To think I bragged about having high treshold of pain to Joanne on our way there. Was in so much pain the lady had to stop a couple of times for me to "rest" and giggle (ya... so painful that it was funny) But the overall result was WORTH IT! Now I have beautiful and hairless upper lip.. No more hair shadows. Ask me to do it again.. I will gladly do it. Yes.. Pain in the name of beauty. It's all worth it.

Later part of the day was spent walking around Mustafa with Chalene and was amused by the number of things they offer there. But it was quite uncomfortable as the walking aisle were very narrow and people keep banging their trolley against my hips lor. Pain.. I think we were more engrossed with our conversation rather than the items on display. In the end, walked 3 hours and we only buy 2 items each. We were so tired of walking and hungry, we practically crawled to our next destination at Potong Pasir for dinner. Felt a sense of relief as we finally sat down at an old school food centre for dinner.

So today had been quite an exciting day for me with 3 virgin activities: Walking around Little India, facial threading and exploring Mustafa. Whew.. I'm so happy to be home now resting my tired feet and I'm going to catch up on Grey's Anatomy Season 1. Ciao!

A random picture taken on the way back from the Potong Pasir food centre. It's a real letter box. So cool rite?!
