"Happiness is from within..."
I said this one fine morning in response to my collegue's ramblings, "Tell me where can I find happiness?" Another colleague immediately made the puking sounds and said, "Stop giving that textbook crap." Everybody in the department started laughing heartily. Everyone agrees to that statement but because I am the youngest and with least life experience, they found it funny hearing that statement from me. The next day, there was a forwarded email on the same. It's called the 90/10 principle. 10% of the time you can't control the thinigs that happen. But 90% of the time what happens next is control by your reactions. How true.
This morning the same colleague was frustrated with another co-worker for beating around the bush. I told her to imagine him as a dog chasing his own tail so that she will simmer down. I like to do these things to keep myself on the track of positive thinking.
On a side note, I had my free cone from Ben & Jerry's at Great World today! H and I queued for 40 mins with this very bitchy middle age couple behind. Totally gave us material to gossip about while we enjoyed our free ice cream. And I finally spent my Zara voucher I received during Xmas. A difficult day definitely ended on a happy note =) Of course, a special thank you to H for being so patient and helpful - queuing with me and holding my clothes while I shop. You are the B.E.S.T.
